what type of tv should i buy
» morganm answered... Pretty broad question-- but let's assume you're buying a relatively large television for watching HD movies and TV, and maybe some video games-- somewhere between 32 and 50 inches diagonally.
If your priorities are picture quality and small physical size, you should look at some plasma sets. They have higher contrast than comparable LCDs.
If you care about size, but LCDs look fine to you, they can be cheaper and may be more long-lasting.
If you have a little more room, or are going to put the TV on a stand anyway, I would look at some DLP sets. They are not totally flat and they are free-standing, but they are cheaper than flat screens, and have a great quality picture in general. A side benefit is you won't have to purchase a stand.
